I want to thank you for the great open mic that you put on at the theater. It may be the best I've seen, an authentic community gathering. It was a treat to be there. You have done a fabulous job.

See you next time.

My night at The Thumb was as good as it could possibly get. I had such a great time with that audience, the conversation and stories, the songs and the rich, beautiful sound of the room. My guitars sounded like grand pianos and my voice was so clear and resonant to my ears that I was able to really just play inside it and let my melodies take all kinds of new shapes and motions.

The Thumb is a beautiful, quaint place that welcomes you the minute you drive up and see it. You and your staff have done such a great job of creating a friendly, loving and artistic environment. And everyone on staff, volunteers, etc., was kind and helpful and eager to help me with anything I needed. Please thank everyone for me. I look forward to returning.

The Thumbnail Theater is actually a group of remarkable people who have together created a performance space that let us as artists, go deep within and stay inside, inspiration. The building's acoustics and the vibe created by the heartfelt hosts make it happen. We are grateful to know of Thumbnail Theatre.

This theater is a gem. The acoustics are amazing and the audiences, people who live in a cool part of a cool state, are equally warm and friendly. Traci and I experienced a very special concert. The room was so fantastic that we spent the two hours putting sounds into it, moving the sounds back and forth, ending the sounds and sucking the sound waves from the room and bouncing harmonics and colors around as if ringing a large bell. I hope you get a chance to hear a concert there.

Tim Noah's Big Trouble - March 25, 2015

I took my Daycare/Preschool to the performance, and they loved it. It held their attention the entire time. My kids always love the interactive style of Tim's shows. They love dancing and getting up on stage. The kids in the performance did a great job. We have been to several programs here and it a great outing for daycares, preschools and families.

Thank you for the beautiful concert yesterday. As I mentioned, your theatre is so perfect for such music.

One of the assets of your theatre is its location: in a beautiful old part of a beautiful old town by the river, just up the hill a bit from the "bustling" 1st St. With yesterday's 4PM concert time, we were able to browse and shop on 1st St and stroll on the river walk beforehand, and then return after the concert for a pint and dinner. For people who long for the country, a Snohomish visit such as this is pretty perfect. And what better way to enjoy real country music than really being in the country?

I wish you all the best and look forward to visiting again.

(Note to the Story Circle meeting in Snohomish on December 18, 2011)

I am writing to let you know that Bill and I have moved to Bend, OR. Though we have talked about the move for the past two years, the actual decision on a house and the move itself happened quickly and suddenly we are gone. This is happy news, but one can't open a door without closing others and I am sad that I will no longer be with you in the circle.

I'd hoped to write something beautiful or clever but what does one do when communicating to a group of talented people like you? If only I could write something that Bob could accompany with his harmonica. Bill could write a beautiful poem about my move and Cindy could illustrate it while she told the story so nicely. Barb could write about how God is in the mountain I see out my window now and Tim could put a story to music on his guitar. And Mary, she could strum her harp as we travel away yet it would be the music of her voice and the magic of her stories that would warm our hearts and make us aware of our connection with one another.

So I will simply tell you that it has meant much to me to be a part of your circle. I greatly enjoyed hearing your music, your poetry, your stories and the sharing of your lives with one another. Your encouragement has meant the difference to me of telling only one story on a Sunday night and now telling stories whenever I have the chance.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I will miss our gathering but know that I will hear news of marvelous things happening when you are together.

It is my wish that we will meet again.

Until then - peace,

Beverly Allen

I loved the Halloween show. We went to 2 showings. It is just so cute and funny, and the music is fun. I have been singing Beeping Slag all week. I have been thinking that it would be great to make a DVD of it like you did with the Wow Wow Wibble Woggle. That way everyone can enjoy it long into the future after you have retired from doing the show. And you could still make money off the DVD's in the future. Just a thought. There were so many funny parts. I especially liked the zombie antics. The kids love it all, especially Gus Puppy, no matter how many times they have seen him before. My grandson loved the connection between the Halloween show and Wow Wow Wibble with the magic wand and wizardry, and when Frankie and Gus were magically transformed. Thanks to you and the Thumbnail crew for such fun productions and the good things you give to this community!

Yours truly, Nancy Dalen & family & Daycare kids

Dear Thumbnail Theater,

I brought my son to attend your Halloween show on Friday 10/28 before realizing you are a cash only establishment. The woman taking payment was kind enough to allow us admission on an IOU status. Here is my payment as promised. Thank you so much! We had a great time (our first visit!) and can't wait to return. =)

Thank you, Angi Kirby

It has been a joy-full and meaningful experience working with Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater. I have come to value it personally for the chance to be part of something important, and for the impact it has on our community. The staff and volunteers provide artistic and creative opportunities and demonstrate positive, uplifting and encouraging attitudes in everything they do.

My involvement at "The Thumb" includes volunteering my services as Music Director and musician in the recent Kaddywompas Holiday Radio Show and acting as host of the Jazz and Blues Jam Session for all ages and levels. I have also been a consultant and performer for several other Thumbnail Theater musical productions over the past few years.

I feel Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater and the core group of individuals who make it happen, play an important role in bringing our community together with art and education. What can be more important than that?

To Whom It May Concern,

Tim Noah must be the most inspiring person I know. When I fist met him, I felt totally comfortable and vulnerable. That is one of the most impressive qualities in Mr. Noah's teaching. Being comfortable and vulnerable in his presence allows people to explore their talents to extents that they never have before. This makes rapid progress inevitable. I've learned more than singing and playing the piano with Mr. Noah, I've learned to live in the moment and anything is possible. Anybody who gets the opportunity to work with him is very fortunate.

To Whom It May Concern,

Tim Noah has been teaching my daughter, Katrina, piano and voice lessons for over three years. Originally he came to Shoreline where we live, and gave Katrina and another family lessons. Since the Thumbnail Theater has been formed, we now drive to Snohomish for her lessons once a week.

Tim is such a shining example of what an instructor can be- honest, principled, and so extremely talented! He is passionate about his music and is able to teach his students to have confidence in their abilities.

He has shown Katrina how capable she is and that her possibilities are unlimited. A few weeks ago, she sang at the Farmers Market in Snohomish. The next day she sang the National Anthem in front of 300 people at the Enumclaw AKC Dog Show.

The performances, lessons and open mic sessions at the Thumbnail Theater are a great resource. Snohomish is very fortunate to have such an accomplished musician and such a great theater!

Dear Tim and Board Members,

Our family would like to thank you for the many special, unique services and opportunities you are creating in our community. What you have specifically offered to our son Ryan, who has autism, is priceless - you have given him an environment in which to explore his talents and just be happy.

Your colleague, Mr. Ted Lombard, who now hosts Jazz Jam nights (at Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater), was Ryan's first drum teacher. Tim and Ted have managed, through their skill and devotion, to coax Ryan's native abilities in rhythm and musicality out and give him a way to express himself joyfully. They've helped him realize that he has a gift and have taught him to use it. Ryan now wants to be a professional musician, perhaps a timpanist!

We want to especially thank you for offering Ryan the opportunity to perform with your Kaddywompas Country Store & Curiosity Shop Holiday Radio last month. He will remember it always, and so will we. We're proud that he worked hard and played well, but we are even more pleased that he feels he got out of it what he put into it, which is an important life lesson. Also, music is the one area of his life in which he isn't struggling to communicate, or awkward, or slightly misfit in some way. When he's performing, he is relaxed, contented, fits in, and his skills are genuinely valued by others.

You offer something truly unique in the Pacific Northwest! You are fostering a spirit of musicianship, excellence, love of theater and performance, and real sense of community. You provide a gathering place for many devoted musicians who have nowhere else to play.

If there is one thing I've learned in my years as a business person, it's that savvy leaders do not simply give money to organizations - rather, they invest generously in talented people who have the vision and drive to make dreams come true. Tim and Cyndi (Thumbnail Theater's Artistic Directors) are already helping to make dreams happen in Snohomish. Our community needs to invest in them.

May 2009 bring many blessings for the wonderful, ongoing work that you do!

Sincerely, Katherine Rowe

Applause, Applause!!

I just wanted to take a few seconds to express my gratitude and admiration for my time spent performing with Tim, Cyndi and the gang during the 2008 Kaddywompas Holiday Radio Show. I was so overwhelmed by your gracious hospitality and welcoming atmosphere! The shows were family focused and I was highly entertained with each performance.

What I was most impressed with was the way the staff fostered creativity, self esteem and free expression in youth. Tim and Cyndi demonstrated insane levels of commitment and devotion to these kids as they guided, encouraged and educated them in how to shape their creative talents and dreams.

They motivated and promoted kids with a variety of abilities and disabilities. Each child was treated with respect and honor with the goal of guiding them to their highest potential and talents. No matter what their obstacles they may encounter.

I'm a fan, for life! I applaud you as you continue to support the arts for kids and adults alike. You have made me enthusiastic about your programs and family shows. I'm happy to be your eastside advocate!

Thanks for the honor of allowing me to be a part of your Kaddywompas Holiday Radio Show!

Keep in touch!
